“Read! In the name of your Lord who created.”
The very first command revealed to the Prophet (SAW) was to read. A faith that begins with knowledge cannot leave its students behind — so the Trust carries the cost of school fees, books, tuition and university for those who have the will to learn but not the means. Search the scholarships open right now, and apply in one place.
In Islam the pursuit of knowledge is not a worldly ambition set apart from worship — it isworship. The Qur'an returns to it again and again.
“Allah will raise, by degrees, those of you who believe and those who have been given knowledge.”
“And say: My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”
“Are those who know equal to those who do not know?”
“Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.”
“Whoever treads a path in search of knowledge, Allah makes easy for him a path to Paradise.”
“Knowledge is better than wealth — knowledge guards you, while you must guard your wealth.”
“There is no treasure more beneficial than knowledge.”
Your circumstances decided where you began. They do not get to decide where you finish. The first word revealed to the Prophet (SAW) was not “pray” or “fast” — it was “Read.” So read. Sit the exam. Repeat the year if you must. A fee you cannot pay today is a problem for the Trust to help carry, not a reason to stop. Ask, and keep going.
Al Zaheda Noorie Trust was founded in the memory of a woman whose own service was quiet and constant. Of everything the Trust does, education is the work that outlives all of us — here is why we give it priority.
The Prophet (SAW) taught that when a person dies their deeds end — except an ongoing charity, knowledge from which others benefit, and a righteous child who prays for them. A student you help today teaches, treats and provides for others long after the donation is spent.
A ration kit feeds a family this month; a degree changes what that family earns for the rest of their lives. Education is the one form of aid designed to make itself unnecessary.
The care of the orphan sits at the heart of the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (AS). A child who has lost a parent should not lose their future as well — school fees are often the only thing standing between them and it.
Applications are private, assessed on need and merit, and cost nothing to submit. No student is asked to plead, and no one is turned into a photograph for a campaign. Your Zakat, Khums and Sadaqah are an amānah, and they are handled as one.
